A dream come true. Walking Spain's camino Santiago de Compostela, week 3

Pro Bros very own globetrotter Samantha Gonzalez is on a 450 mile hike across nothern Spain walking the Camino De Santiago, also known asSt. James Way of Compostela.  She is on her third week and more than half way done with her trek.

This has been an amazing and challenging trip. I have always been an outdoorsy kinda girl and took solace in the fact that no matter how extreme the situation was that I got myself into, I always felt that I concoured it. Whether it was an 11 day silent meditadion retreat into the deepths of my mind while sitting in lotus for 3 hrs without moving, or emersing myself in a 28 day yoga bootcamp-like YTT in Thailand where I would basically be doing yoga for 10 hrs a day, I have never understaken something as massive and exhausting as The Camino.

It is monster all on its own. Blisters, aches and pains become your faithful companions and massaging, rubbing ointments on wounds or sores, and sharing battle scars become a nightly ritual. But as many hardships that the camino might give, the blessings are tripled.

The experiences the camino offers are boundless and run deep. Each one intimately personal while at the same time incredibly impersonal.

I feel extremely blessed and fortunate to have not just the time and funds to do the camino, but have the support group that I have at home and also to have had the hard and not so pleasant life experiences in my past that have led me here where I am today.

Loving the sunrises and sunsets on this walk. So many beautiful and different landscapes with incredible views.

The skies here are truly something special on the camino. Everyday is a celestial masterpiece and the artist seems to spare no expense in showcasing his genius. So breathtaking, that trying to capture such beauty and majesty with a picture is kinda silly. But non the less, I try, jaja.
